how much do pro BMX riders make and how did they become pros? can you become pro and get paid from videos?
What is the average amount that professional BMX riders make and how did they become pro? how did they get noticed by sponsors, how did they make their way up to the pro level? can you get up to the getting paid level from just postin vids?
well what type of bmx are you talking about??freestyle(street and vert riding)..or racing??…..because freestyle riders get paid through contingency depending how they place in the main events..and they get the purse or however much each place gets..and they get contingency from their sponsors,and the factory they ride for(whoever they get their bikes/frame from)..and you get money for the videos..and whoever uses them..in advertising or anything…they make their way up to the top as pro’s by showing up at as many events they can possibly hit..and competing against everyone showing there stuff..they usually hit up the biggest events tho because you want to get recognized by people and their’s places where you can post a resume of how good you are(with proof of course)..and you also get recognized by posting video’s everywhere you can so people will see you….and most of them didnt get to the skill level they are at by just riding on the weekends..and a lil here and there during the week..not only do you have to ride pretty much all the time no matter how boring or fun or tiring it is..you also gotta get yourself into shape keep your body good and tone…i mean literally train at the gym and get your endurance and strength up especially…leg strength and upper body strength are also a big importance..and keeping your ankles/tendons in good condition are also helpful because it will help you so if you bail or wreck hard you can absorb it or just come up short on something or land wrong…and if you do get hurt if your in good shape your recovery will come much faster
