Where can I get a good cheap fixie?

So I’m looking for a good fixed gear bike and I’m not looking to spend more than $300. Where should i start? I don’t know much about bikes so I don’t think conversions will be an option. Please offer me some suggestions on how I can get a good fixed gear bike. Again, my budget is $300. I’m willing to go over it a little but really wouldn’t want to.

If you diligently search Craigslist, you can find used ones on there for even cheaper than that.

I recommend checking with some people who ride fixies in your area. They may know someone whose moving or wants to get rid of an old one for an upgrade.

If you buy new or used, please keep in mind that with bikes you usually get what you pay for.
